Undergraduate Programs

Statistics is a discipline built on mathematics as the foundation that has practical applications in many other disciplines. Our undergraduate program is designed to help students acquire analytical skills so that they can fit in other disciplines to carry out research projects and studies that involve measurement, comparison, and interpretation. Statistics is a useful ancillary subject to other sciences, the social sciences, and many of the professional programs.

Our programs:

  1. offer a high quality teaching and learning environment to develop in students a basic understanding in the fundamentals of statistical theory, application and decision analysis;
  2. prepare students for data collection and analysis, as well as introducing to them the development of sampling theory and techniques for use in sample survey problems;
  3. enhance students' ability to apply statistical methods in practical applications and use computer software packages.
