Congratulations to Professor Wang Yi-Fu on his promotion to Associate Professor!
Associate Professor Wang Yi-Fu earned his Ph.D. from the Institute of Statistics at National Central University in 2011, specializing in Bayesian analysis, reliability analysis, and degradation analysis. During his postdoctoral research, he engaged in industrial statistics and optimal experimental design, working closely with Professor Sheng-Tsang Tseng to conduct in-depth studies on reliability analysis, degradation analysis, and repairable systems, as well as on lithium battery life inference.
In 2016, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at National Chung Cheng University, where he supervised 16 master’s students. His research has been widely published in prominent journals such as the Journal of Quality Technology (JQT), IEEE Transactions on Reliability, and Quality and Reliability Engineering International (QREI), with JQT and IEEE Reliability recognized as top-tier journals in the field of industrial statistics. Additionally, Professor Wang participated in a three-year integrated reliability project funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, collaborating with leading academics to drive research development.
In February 2022, Professor Wang joined the Department of Statistics at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), where he successfully guided undergraduate students in applying for research projects funded by the National Science and Technology Council, achieving excellent results. He also supervised graduate students in the department, who have repeatedly won awards from the Chinese Statistical Association, fully demonstrating his professionalism and passion for teaching.
Once again, congratulations on the well-deserved promotion to Associate Professor!
