Two major activities of the department are as follows:
Statistical Consulting Center: This center was established in 1992. The main purpose of the center lies in introducing the applications of statistics to businesses, industries, governments, and academic sectors, and also makes students acquainted with real-world application cases.
Survey and Statistics Research Center: This center was established in 1996. Its Computer Aided Telephone Interview (CATI) system is the unique equipment in management-related colleges at domestic universities, and serves as the teaching support tools for the courses of sampling surveys, marketing, statistics, etc., to make students knowledgeable in practical problems before graduation. In addition, it can support activities for research, extension education, and social services as well.
